John George O'Hurley is an American actor, television star and a voice actor who has a net worth of $8.5 million. He was born in the year 1954 at Maine in the United States. His mom was a housewife and dad was an ENT specialist. O’ Hurley graduated with a bachelor’s degree in theatre from the Providence College. His elder sister died at an early age of 17 due to epilepsy.

He shot to fame for his role as J. Peterman on the NBC serial Seinfeld. It has been argued by many, that Petermen might have a higher net worth than what he gets now. This role was played by Hurley in 1995, based on the real-life character of entrepreneur J. Peterman of the J. Peterman Catalogue. In the year 2001, he invested in the original J. Peterman Company and became a member of the Board of Directors.

John was also one of the participants of a dance reality show “Dancing with the Stars” in 2004. He initially lost the final show to Kelly Monaco. Fans alleged that Monaco’s victory was fabricated and they again demanded a special grudge match episode. O’ Hurley emerged as the winner in the show. He has also hosted several television shows and game shows like the Family Feud and To Tell the Truth. Ever since 2002, Hurley has been hosting the Purina Annual Dog Show on the occasion of Thanksgiving every year.

In May 2011, he received the prestigious honor for his contribution to many humanitarian grounds.
