Joan Henrietta Collins better known as Joan Collins is a British author, columnist and an actress. According to the latest estimates, her net worth stands at $30 million.

Collins was born in 23rd May 1933 in Paddington and grew up during the World War II. At the age of 9 years, she debuted on stage with “A Doll’s House”. Collins was trained to be an actress at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London. At 22, she was off to Hollywood and got herself some hot films like “The girl in the Red Velvet Swing” of 1955 and “Rally Round the Flag, Boys” of 1958. Her career was at its peak throughout the 1960s and the 1970’s. She appeared in “The Stud” in 1978 and “The Bitch” of 1979.

In 1980 she returned to her root that is to her career on the stage with “The Last of Mrs. Cheyney” and in 1990 with “Private Lives”. In 1981 she landed herself the longest running TV show, “Dynasty”. Joan is best known for her role as Alexis Carrington Colby. But unfortunately the show got cancelled. However by then, Collins had published her first novel Prime Time in 1988.

Collins married Maxwell Reed in 1952. The marriage however lasted for only four years. She again married Anthony Newley in 1963 and had two children with him. They stayed married for seven years. In 1972 she married for the third time to Ron Kass, and gave birth to her third child. She then went on to marry Peter Holm in 1985. This marriage ended in divorce in 1987. In 2002, she married a man 32 years junior to him, Percy Gibson. Joan has married a total of five times.
