James Spader has an estimated net worth of $10 million. His success comes from his acting profession. Born February 7, 1960, to Boston parents Todd Spader and Jean Spader who were both school teachers, James was more recognized for his roles in TV series than in the movies.

James Spader dropped out of school at his eleventh grade and tried his hands at several jobs before settling for the big screen. He did a little manure shoveling as well as yoga teaching for a while. In 1981, he landed a role in his first ever movie "Endless Love" which was a comic-drama production. His acting career remained at the budding stage till in 1989 when he took a leading role in Sex, Lies, and Videotapes which earned him the prestigious Cannes' "Best Actor Award." This opened ways for more roles in different movies, and he rose to the zenith of the acting profession bagging several awards as the years went by. Some of the most prominent movies he has featured in are Sex, Lies, and Videotapes, Boston Legal, and The Practice.
