Guy Torry started his acting career at the age of 23. He did cameo appearance on shows such as Martin, The X Files, Good News, and The Shield, among others.

He appeared on Def Jam Comedy, which he worked with his brother, Joe who is one of the hosts of the said show.

Torry created and hosted a weekly comedy show, Phat Tuesdays in 1995. He was one of the original member of the Kings of Comedy in 1998.

He appeared in several films such as Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, Life, and Trippin'. He landed the role as a convict named Lamont in American History X.
