George Clinton is an American singer, songwriter, bandleader and music producer and the founder of P-Funk. Clinton has a net worth of $1.8 million according to the latest estimates. Clinton’s wealth and fame comes from his prolific career in the music industry.

His career started with the bands like Parliament and Funkadelic through the 1970s and 1980s. Clinton started off his career as an individual artist. Clinton is considered to have introduced innovations after Sly Stone and James Brown. Clinton along with members of Parliament and Funkadelic was invited to the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame in 1997. Clinton was born on July 22nd 1941.

Originally from North Carolina, he grew up in New Jersey and presently lives in Florida. Inspired by Frankie Lymon and the teenagers, Clinton too formed a group called The Parliaments during his early teenage days. He worked for Motown for sometime in the 1960s. The Parliaments finally rose to fame under the name Parliament and Funkadelic or P-Funk. His group dominated the 70s with forty hit singles and R&B.

In the early 1980s, Clinton started recording solo albums. In 1982, he released his first solo Computer Games and Loopzilla hit the Top 20 chart. Red Hot Chilli Peppers recruited Clinton in 1985 to produce their album. Clinton released The Cinderella Theory in 1989, which was followed by the 1993 album, Hey Man Smell My Finger. After re-uniting with members of P-Funk in 1996, he came up with – The Awesome Power of a Fully Operational Mothership a.k.a. T.A.P.O.A.F.O.M. In 2009, he was again called by the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.
