Diablo Cody is a blogger, writer and publisher who has an estimted net worth of $25 million. She is a recipient of several awards for original script writing. Some of the best awards she has won include the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay, the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay, and the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay for the critically acclaimed Juno (2007).

Cody also wrote the scripts for two very successful movies, including Jennifer's Body, released in 2009, and Young Adults, released in 20011, which she also produced. Her work with the latter earned her a second nomination for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay. Cody made her debut as a movie director in the 2013 movie Paradise.

Born Brook M. Busey on June 14, 1978 in Lemont, Illinois to a catholic family, she attended Benet Academy a Catholic school. She obtained a degree in media studies from the University of Iowa. Cody held some secretarial jobs while in school. She wrote for a number of magazines and newspapers before publishing her memoir, Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper, at the age of 27.

After the publication of her memoir by Gotham Books, her publisher encouraged her to go into script writing, an advice which she heeded. She wrote several movie scripts which she sold to studios. Over the years, she has made a fortune from her script writing career with several scripts to her credit.
