David Furnish is a Canadian filmmaker, advertising executive and film director. He is best recognized for his works on the documentary titled Elton John: Tantrums & Tiaras.

David James Furnish was born on October 25, 1962 in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. After attending Sir John A. Macdonald Collegiate Institute, Furnish enrolled himself at Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario where he obtained his Honours Business Administration undergraduate degree. Since 2005, he has been in a relationship with Elton John. Together, the couple has two sons named Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John and Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, who were born via surrogacy.

Along with Elton John, Furnish currently co-chiefs Rocket Pictures. He also serves on the board of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. In addition to being a regular columnist for GQ and Interview, he also contributes for Tatler Magazine.
