David Blaine is an American illusionist and famous magician. His net worth has been estimated to be $12 million. Blaine was born in 1973 in Brooklyn, US. When he was four years old, he saw a magician showing his magic tricks in the subway. This incident had sparked an interest in Blaine. He was brought up by his single mother and when he was 10 years old, his mother married again. At the age of 17, David shifted to Manhattan.

He has acquired his wealth by his magic performances on the streets. David has performed all around the world. His wealth also comes from appearing in TV specials, and on his own TV show too. He has set and broken many world records.

In 1997, his first TV show, “David Blaine: Street Magic” was aired, where he was shown travelling across the county and showing his magic tricks to strangers. In 1999, he stayed in a plastic coffin, below a 3 ton water filled tank for seven days. During these days, he had no food – just a few spoons of water. David only had a hand buzzer near his hand grip which could have alerted the emergency team. On the final day, when he came out from the coffin in front of many news channels, and a crowd, he admitted to have witnessed something extremely prophetic during this time. He has also performed some dangerous stunts like “Frozen in Time” and the “Vertigo”.

Blaine and his fiancée have one daughter who was born in 2011. There has been a very interesting story during her daughter’s birth. When his girl friend went into labour, there were blizzards in the area as a result of which all means of transports were stopped. Blaine had to hire a snow-plow which took the couple to the hospital.
