Curtis was born in Melbourne, Victoria. He was named one of the sexiest men alive by the People magazine in 2006. Stone used to cook with his grandmother when he was five years old, and that is how he became interested in cooking. He passed out from the Penleigh and Essendon Grammar school. Stone’s father, Bryan was an accountant.

Stone started his cooking career at the age of 18 at the Savoy Hotel in Australia. However, before he started cooking, he worked at some top Australian restaurants. When he completed his chef studies and was qualified, he began cooking in London under Marco Pierre White at the Café Royal and Mirabelle. He then became a head chef at the White’s Quo Vadis. Here he worked with James Robertson. Later he returned to Australia to make the traveling cooking show called “Surfing the Menu”.

He has appeared on many cooking programmes in the UK. Curtis worked in Good Food Live, Dinner in a Box, and Saturday Kitchen. He also hosted Season 1 of My Restaurant Rules in Australia. In August 2012, he appeared in one episode of Master Chef Australia.

Stone is in a relationship with the actress Lindsay Price since 2009. The couple has a son, Hudson, who was born on the 6th of November 2011. In July 2012, the couple got engaged.
