Born in 1976 in Panorama City, California, she played the role of DJ Tanner in Full House. She portrayed the role for close to 8 years, showing the character to be 10 first and then going on to become 18. She had also emceed the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, 1990 and 1994, which made her the first individual to host more than once. In 1991, Candace hosted the show with David Faustino and Dave Coulier. In the second time, she hosted the show with Joey Lawrence and Marc Weiner. She has worked in some television movies as well. Currently, Candace plays the role of Summer Van Horn in the show “Make it or Break it”, which is a teenage drama based on gymnastics. The show is hosted on the network ABC Family. In 2011, she released her first book. Within a few weeks of publishing, the book became a best seller according to The New York Times. Cameron has made her money through various movie and television assignments, and also from the sale of her book.

So good was her work that the producers would wait for her to finish other stuff before shooting for the show. She has been married to the ice hockey player Valeri Bure in 1996. Together they have 3 children. She is the sister of Kirk Cameron.
