David Chilton is a Canadian author, investor, and television personality with an estimated net worth of $20 million.

David Chilton began his career when he wrote his book, The Wealthy Barber in 1989. The said book became a best-seller in Canada which raked up two million copies.

He left the publishing industry in 2007. In 2011, Chilton published The Wealthy Barber Returns, the sequel to his first book. He also appeared as a guest on several television shows such as The Hour, Royal Air Canadian Farce, Arctic Air, and The Lang and O'Leary Exchange. He was known for his role in the seventh season of Dragon's Den.

Aside from publishing books, Chilton collaborated with Greta and Janet Podleski as publisher to these cookbooks such as Looneyspoons, Crazy Plates and Eat, and Shrink & Be Merry!.

David Chilton was born on October 27, 1961 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. He completed his degree in Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University in 1995.
