Anthony Anderson is an American actor, writer and comedian. He was born on August 15th 1970 in Compton, California. He has a net worth of $18 million. Anthony’s wealth comes from the films he has acted in, and also the television shows. In recent times, Anthony has even tried directing. He is probably best known for his own sitcom, “All About the Andersons”.

He has also worked in the Fox sitcom “The Bernie Mac Show”. Anthony has over the years performed in many television shows, such as The Shield, K-Ville, and Law and Order. He had supporting roles in movies such as The Departed, Transformers, Scream 4, and Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London.

Anderson played the lead role in the teen series “Hang Time”. He played Teddy Broadis. He had many guest roles on shows like Malcolm and Eddie, NYPD Blue, In the House and Ally McBeal. His first film was Liberty Heights, and since then, he usually does comic roles in movies. He is known for his work in Kangaroo, Hustle and Flow, and Jack My Baby’s Daddy. In 2009, he directed a one minute short film.

In 1995, he married his college sweetheart, Alvina. The couple has two children, and they live in Los Angeles. Anderson has diabetes, and he organizes programs for diabetes awareness. On July 24th 2004, he was charged with rape. The Shelby County Sheriff’s office says that Anderson and Wayne Witherspoon attacked the woman. However the charges were later dismissed by the judge. Anderson and Warner Bros. television were later in a $900,000 suit filed by a woman who claimed that Anderson had sexually assaulted her in his dressing room on the sets of “All About the Andersons”.
