Zendaya is an American actress, singer and dancer with an estimated net worth of $1.5 million. She was born Zendaya Coleman on September 1, 1996 in Oakland, California. As a child, she started training and performing with the California Shakespeare Festival. She has also performed in several stage productions.

Zendaya attended the Oakland School for the Arts where she starred as Little Ti Moune in Once on This Island. She also performed at the American Conservatory Theater, with stage credits including Richard III, Twelfth Night and As You Like It. As a dancer, she spent three years with her former dance group called Future Shock Oakland and they performed dances such as Hip Hop and Hula.

Zendaya’s professional career began as a fashion model for Macy’s, Mervyns and Old Navy. She was also featured in an iCarly toys ad with Stefanie Scott. She appeared in the video for Kidz Bop’s version of Hot n Cold by Katy Perry. In late 2009, she landed the role of Rocky Blue in the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up and became a household name. As a musician, Zendaya signed a deal with Hollywood Records on August 8, 2012 and started recording songs for her debut album, released four days later, while having her first tour in that same month. She released a single called "Swag It Out" from an independent label as well as another single with Bella Thorne called "Watch Me" that is featured on the Break It Down album. She released the song Something to Dance For on March 20, 2012 as promotional single from Shake It Up: Live 2 Dance soundtrack. She is also a contestant during the 16th season of Dancing with the Stars.
