She was a cheerleader in High School. Holly earned an undergraduate degree in English from the Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Lauren now lives in Canada with her husband and her three children. She was married to Danny Quinn from 1991 to 1993 and Jim Carrey from 1996 to 1997. She is now happily married to Francis Greco.

Her family established a fund at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. The fund was in the memory of her brother who died at the age of 14.
