Elaine Paige is an English singer and actress best recognized for her contributions in musical theater. She was just 16 when she first appeared on stage. Her appearance in Hair, a 1968 production, marked her debut on West End.

Her impressive portrayal of the role as Eva Perón on Evita earned her greater prominence to the public. This won her a Laurence Olivier Award for the Performance of the Year category. Often referred to as the First Lady of British Musical Theatre, Elaine Paige has been a nominee for five Laurence Olivier Awards. Also, she was able to release 22 albums, eight of which were certified gold, and four earned a multi-platinum record.
