Cheryl Ladd is an American actress, singer and author with an estimated net worth of $8 million. She is famous for her role as Kris Munroe in the television series Charlie’s Angels (1976). Despite the show’s swirl of publicity before its second season in 1977, she was still hired to replace the departing Farrach Fawcett-Majors. She remained with the show until it ended in 1981.

Ladd was born as Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor in Huron, South Dakota in July 12, 1951 to parents of German descent. She is the second daughter of Dolores Katz, a waitress, and Marion Stoppelmoor, a railroad engineer. She has a younger brother named Seth. She married David Ladd and they have a daughter named Jordan. She took his surname on her own but she dropped when they were divorced. She was married to music producer Brian Russell in 1981 and had a stepdaughter named Lindsay Russell.

As a singer, her single Think It Over reached #34 in the Billboard music chart in 1978. Walking In The Rain became the ending song for Charlie’s Angels in Japan and was released as a single. The song I’ll Never Love This Way Again was recorded by Dionne Warwick the following year.

Cheryl Ladd was considered for a role in Family (1976) which was later bagged by Meredith Baxter.  She was the first choice to play the lead role in the television movie The Burning Bed (1984) but she declined the part. The role was given to Majors whom she replaced in Charlie’s Angels. In 2005, she released her autobiographical book Token Chick: A Woman’s Guide to Golfing with the Boys that recounted her experiences with the sport of golf. Her publicist is Jay D.
