At a young age, she was already interested in acting. She started performing in community theater shows at the Jewish Community Center in Los Feliz. She then attended the California Institute of the Arts where she received her BFA in Acting in 2005. She also studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland.

She also has leading roles in independent films before she landed on a role in Mad Men (2007). That was the start of her career in film and TV.
Brie starred on the web series My Alibi. She was also a main cast member in Community. In 2010, she co-hosted G4’s Attack of the Show and she appeared for a short segment in Web Soup. She had a role in Montana Amazon (2010) and Scream 4 (2011). She also appeared along with Jason Segel and Emily Blunt in The Five-Year Engagement (2012).
