Welsh actor and musician, Rhys Ifans, has an estimated net worth of $12.5 million. Ifans has not only one of the most distinctive names in the film industry but also one of its most idiosyncratic appearances. Tall, lanky, and snaggletoothed, Ifans can go from raving freak to persuasive romantic interest in less time than it takes to pronounce his name correctly. Ifans started acting in a number of Welsh language dramas and comedies, and he made his feature film debut in Anthony Hopkins' August (1996). The following year, he was part of one of the most successful films in Great Britain, Twin Town (1997). Outside of his film work, Ifans previously served as the lead singer of the band Super Furry Animals before they struck the big time in the late 1990s.
He is best known for his roles such as Spike in Notting Hill and Jed Parry in Enduring Love and as a member of the Welsh rock band Super Furry Animals and The Peth. He appeared as Dr. Curt Connors or The Lizard in the film The Amazing Spider-Man and Xenophilius Lovegood, Luna Lovegood's eccentric father and editor of The Quibbler, in the movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. Ifans was born Rhys Owain Evans on July 22, 1967, in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK.
