Michael Rapaport was born on 20th March, 1970 in Manhattan, New York City. Michael David Rapaport has earned his fortune of $12 million as an actor, director, and comedian. Starting his acting career in early 1990’s, Michael Rapaport has been a part of more than forty films till now. An avid TV actor, Michael is well known for his roles in TV series like Friends, Boston Public, Prison Break, and The War at Home.
In his professional career, Rapaport has done both comic as well as dramatic roles. Some of the movies where he has excelled include Metro, Deep Blue sea (where he skillfully portrayed the character of a marine biologist), and Higher Learning (here he portrays the role of a college student, and shows how situations compel him to become a racist skinhead). But he is probably best known for depicting the character of Dick Richie in the movie “True Romance”.
Michael announced his directorial debut on October, 2008. He directed a documentary on traditional hip hop performance – it was titled “A Tribe Called Quest”. The film was released in 2011 and fetched rave reviews from all over. Rapaport was also featured in a song titled “What Happened” by the punk band H2o.
Rappaport’s family includes his wife Nichole Beattie, and their children Julian Ali and Maceo Shane. Allegedly in 2005, as a landlord, he was accused of forcing the actress Natasha Lyonne to vacate the apartment, where she used to stay. However when asked, he shoved away those rumors as filthy gossip.
