Kurt Angle was born on December 9, 1968. While attending Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Angle won several awards as a wrestler, including the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I championship twice. In 1995, he won the World Wrestling Championships freestyle category.

Eventually, he received an offer from the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) which he initially rejected. He debuted into the WWF in March 1998. Two years later, he won as Intercontinental Champion, as well as European Champion. Shortly after, he was named the King of the Ring.

Throughout his entire wrestling career, Kurt Angle has won the World Championship six times. These include one WCW Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, and four WWE/F Championships. He was also named as the European Champion, Intercontinental Champion, Hardcore Champion, WWE Tag Team Champion, and United States Champion. Along with the Big Show and Edge, Kurt Angle is one of the three professional wrestlers to have held three male championships in World Wrestling Entertainment.
