About James George Janos

Ventura has also served as a U.S Navy Underwater Demolition Team member during the Vietnam War. He was a professional wrestler from 1975 to 1986. He took the name Jesse “The Body” Ventura. He had a long stay in the World Wrestling Federation as a color commentator and a performer. Ventura’s name has even been included in the company’s Hall of Fame in 2004.

When he was into wrestling, Jesse was also a part of several films such as the “Predator”, which turned out to be a huge commercial success. The movie also featured Arnold Schwarzenegger, who interestingly also entered politics later on. Jesse himself entered politics as the Mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and he stayed there from 1991 to 1995. After his term ended, he was the candidate of the Reform Party. He ran a low budget campaign that focused on grassroots events that encouraged citizens not to go for politics. His campaign was successful. Jesse has taken initiatives to reduce the income tax, and construct the Hiawatha Line, among others. He left office in 2003, and decided not to run for reelection.

On July 18th 1975, he married Terry. The couple has two children – a son named Tyrel, and a daughter named Jade. It was revealed that Jesse had used anabolic steroids during his wrestling days. In 2002, he was hospitalized for severe blood clots in his lungs. This injury ended his wrestling career.
