Frankie Avalon is a teen idol who is famous for singing the hit "Venus." He also starred in the popular Beach Party film series with Annette Funicello. His current net worth is at $30 million.

Frankie was born on September 18, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. People consider him as one of the first manufactured teenage idols. His first No. 1 single in 1959 was the song "Venus." He was able to release six more Top 40 records during that year. In 1962, he paired with Annette Funicello and created clean-cut looks for the popular Beach Party surfer film series.

During his American network television debut on December 1952, he played the trumpet in a sketch of the Honeymooners Christmas Party for The Jackie Gleason Show. His two singles showcased his trumpet playing skills and got featured on some of his LP songs. When he was a teenager, he played with Bobby Rydell in Rocco and the Saints.

Avalon had 31 charted U.S. Billboard singles from 1958 to 1962. The songs "A Boy Without a Girl" (U.S. #10), "Bobby Sox to Stockings" (U.S. #8), "I'll Wait for You" (U.S. #15), and "Just Ask Your Heart" (U.S. #7) are on the list. The head of Chancellor Records Bob Marcucci wrote and produced most of his hits.

Avalon eventually turned to marketing and created Frankie Avalon Products which is a line of health and cosmetic aids. Avalon promoted his products on the Home Shopping Network with host Bob Circosta.
