Eric Anthony Roberts an American actor who has performed mostly on the television. His net worth is estimated to be $8 Million as of March 2012.

He began his career with a 1978 movie “King of the Gypsies” which fetched him a nomination in the Golden Globe as the Best Debut Actor. In the 1980’s, he played the role of the protagonist in a short story written by Willa Cather, “Paul’s Case”. Eric was nominated for both Golden Globe and the Oscars in 1985 for his role in the film “Runaway Train”. All through the 1990s and 2000’s, he worked for the television. His TV work includes “Less Than Perfect” and “Heroes”.

He was born on 18th April 1956 in Biloxi, Mississippi to onetime actors and playwrights Betty Lou and Walter Grady Roberts. In 1977 he got his breakthrough role in the NBC soap opera called Another World. He won the Theatre World award for his role in the Broadway in 1987 for his performance in Burn This. He also appeared in Raggedy Man, the pope of Greenwich Village, The coca-cola kid, nobody’s fool, best of the best.

His other works include – By the Sword, Best of the Best 2, The Immortals, La Cucaracha, Purgatory and Stiletto Dance. He made his appearance as the Doctor Who in 1996 as the fourth master. Eric has recently appeared in films such as Dead or Alive, Royal Kill, and The Dark Knight. He has also guest appeared in the TV series The L-Word. Roberts has a daughter named Emma Roberts. He supports animal rights.
