About Eric James McCormack

Eric made his television debut with the movie “The Boys from Syracuse” that was released in 1986. Eric is originally from Toronto, but had to move to Los Angeles to try out his luck in the US television industry. In 1991, he appeared on US television for an episode of the Top Cops. He then appeared in “The Lost World”, a 1992 film based on Arthur Conan Doyle’s story.

In 1993, McCormack appeared in a detective crime drama “Street Justice”. In the same year, he appeared in TV movies like “Double, Double, Toil and Trouble”. In 1994, Eric appeared in the western series of “Lonesome Dove: The Series”, which had 42 episodes, and the following year he appeared in “Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years”.

McCormack appeared in the Bill Condon directed TV movie “The Man Who Wouldn’t Die” in 1995. He got his breakthrough role as a lawyer in the popular TV series “Will and Grace”. McCormack has now set up his production house “Big Cattle Productions” that is coming out with shows like the “Lovespring International” and “Imperfect Union”. In 2003 it was rumoured that Eric would write, star and direct a romantic comedy called “What You Wish For”. He got married to Janet Leigh Holden in 1997. The two have a son.
