David Morse is an American film, stage and television actor who started earning wider attention after appearing on St. Elsewhere as Dr. Jack Morrison from 1982 through 1988. His movie career continued with projects like The Indian Runner, The Rock, Dancer in the Dark, 12 Monkeys, Hounddog, 16 Blocks, Contact, The Negotiator, The Long Kiss Goodnight, The Green Mile, Extreme Measures, The Crossing Guard, and Disturbia.

David Morse is also known for his recurring appearance as Detective Michael Tritter on House, which earned him a nomination for an Emmy Award. He got his Emmy Award nomination for the second time after appearing as George Washington in John Adams, a miniseries on HBO.
