American political activist and actor Charles Heston has an estimated net worth of $40 million. Over his six-decade acting career, he has appeared in more than 100 films. In addition to his performance in The Ten Commandments, he is also noted for his appearance in the 1959 film Ben-Hur which won him an Academy Award for Best Actor  on the same year.

Charles Heston was born John Charles Carter on October 4, 1923 in Wilmette, Illinois, USA. On 2003, he decided to retire from acting, and since then he served as the NRA president. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. At age 84, he died of pneumonia on April 5, 2008 in Beverly Hills, California, USA. Since 1944 until his death, he was married to Lydia Clarke with whom he has two children named Fraser Clarke and Holly Ann Heston.

Debuting into the industry in 1941, he went on to appear in numerous films and TV shows until 2003. Heston is also noted for his impressive performance of roles in films like Planet of the Apes, El Cid, Touch of Evil, and The Greatest Show On Earth.
