Burt Young is an American author, painter, and actor Burt Young is best recognized for his appearance in the Rocky films, where he played the role of Paulie's best friend.

Burt Young was born Gerald Tommaso DeLouise on April 30, 1940 in Queens, New York, USA. Currently a widower, Burt Young remained married to Gloria DeLouise  until the latter's death. He has a daughter named Anne Morea. He is currently based in New York City.

Along with Tony Burton, Stu Nahan, and Sylvester Stallone, Burt Young is among the four actors to have appeared in four instalments of the Rocky film series. The first instalment of the series in 1975 earned Young an Academy Award nomination for the Best Supporting Actor category. Meanwhile, his appearance in the 1985 film Rocky IV, as well as in the 1990 film Rocky V, earned him a Razzie Award nomination for Worst Supporting Actor.

Burt Young's most recent film projects include Carnera: The Walking Mountain, New York I Love You, Kingshighway, Win Win, Asleep at the Wheel and Tom In America. In 2014, he is expected to appear in the film Rob the Mob. Burt Young is also noted for his recurring appearances in TV shows such as Baretta, Roomies, and Walker, Texas Ranger.
