Born and raised in Chicago, Bernie Mac is known to be a member of  The Original Kings of Comedy. The group's other members include D. L. Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer and Steve Harvey. As an actor, Bernie Mac has appeared on several films titled Mr. 3000, Ocean's Eleven, Booty Call, Head of State, The Players Club, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle,  Guess Who, Bad Santa, Pride,  Transformers, Soul Men, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Friday. This American performer is also known to star in The Bernie Mac Show that run from 2001 until 2006. Bernie Mac died on August 9, 2008 due to some complications in pneumonia. Prior to his death, Bernie Mac was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, a disease characterized by an abnormal collection of granulomas, a kind of chronic inflammatory cell, that form nodules in organs especially in the lymph nodes and lungs.
