The Ultimate Warrior, born James Brian Hellwig, was a Professional American Wrestler with an estimated Net Worth around $2 million dollars at the time of his death.
Warrior is one of the most iconic figures in professional wrestling, having been a 2 time Intercontinental Champion in the WWE (then called WWF) as well as being the World Champion when he defeated Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania VI.
He was born on June 16th 1959, the eldest of 5 children. His career started in Bodybuilding where he competed in many contests before receiving an invitation in 1985 to try out for Wrestling. His Wrestling debut occurred in 1986 for the now defunct World Class Championship Wrestling league where he won the title.
In 1987, he joined the World Wrestling Federation and made his television debut as The Ultimate Warrior where he quickly gained acclaim for the high energy displayed both on and off the ring. Less than 1 year after joining the WWF, he became the Intercontinental Champion which he held for more than 2 years. At Wrestlemania VI, he defeated the then Champion Hulk Hogan and became the first and only Wrestler in the History of the league to simultaneously hold both titles.
He first left the WWF in 1991 and had several attempted returns and comebacks to the league. Most of them failed due to conflict between the league and him, one in particular being the trademark of his name once he would leave the WWF/WWE.
Despite all that ruckus, Warrior was eventually inaugurated to the WWE Hall Of Fame at Wrestlemania XXX on April 5th 2014. He made his first Monday Night Raw appearance in over 20 years the very next day to excited fans cheering him and chanting his name.
He died 2 days later on April 8th 2014 of causes yet unknown as of this writing.
