Mark Jerrold Henry, better known as Mark Henry, was born on 12th June, 1971 in Silsbee, Texas. He is an American strongman, power lifter, Olympic weightlifter, and professional wrestler. He is having a net worth of $4.5 Million. He is currently a member of the “World Wrestling Entertainment” (WWE).

Mark first became famous when he won Olympic medals two times in 1992 and then again in 1996. He has won the Silver, Gold and the Bronze medal in the Pan American Games as well in 1995. So his fame initially came from weightlifting. Mark became the “Drug-free” world champion in 1995 as a power lifter. He has also won the US National Championship twice – in 1995, and again two years later.

Mark is an “All-time Raw World Record Holder” in the Squat and Dead-lift categories. Some of his other wins include the US National Weightlifting Championship in 1993, 1994 and 1996; the US Olympic Festival Championship in 1993 and 1994; and the NACAC Championship of 1996. Henry is also an American Openwinner of 1992. He has won the first annual “Arnold Strongman Classic” in 2002.

In 1996, Mark joined the “World Wrestling Federation”. His performance in WWE has also been very impressive. He has won the WWF European Champion once and the World Champion twice. That’s no mean achievement.

Before taking up wrestling as a professional career, Mark was a powerlifter and a weightlifter. He started powerlifting at the Silsbee High School and went on to become the Texas state champion and the National High School champion. He held a world record in squat and total in his teens.
