American professional tennis player, Venus Williams, has an estimated net worth of $75 million. Born Venus Ebony Starr Williams on June 17, 1980, in Lynwood, California. One of Richard and Oracene Williams' five daughters, Venus, along with her younger sister, Serena, has redefined women's tennis with her strength and superb athleticism. Venus was introduced to tennis by her father on the public courts in Los Angeles, not far from the family's home in Compton. Richard Williams, a former sharecropper from Louisiana, used what he'd gleaned from tennis books and videos to instruct his girls on the different aspects of the game. Since turning pro in 1994, Venus has earned 21 Grand Slam titles.

Williams continues to be a top player despite in her 30s which is ancient in tennis terms. She designs her own clothing line, Eleven, and sells it through the Gilte Groupe. Venus Williams has been ranked number one in the world three times and is the first African-American to be ranked number one in the era of open tennis. She was the 2nd highest earning female athlete behind her sister, Serena and has won two Gold Medals in the Olympics.
