About Gabriela Sabatini
Argentine former professional tennis player Gabriela Sabatini has an estimated net worth of $8 million. She was born Gabriela Beatriz Sabatini on May 16, 1970 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She first came to tennis world’s attention as a junior. She started playing at the age of six and won her first tournament at the age of eight. At 13, she became the youngest player to win the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. She won six major international junior titles including the French Open girls’ singles. She was ranked the World No. 1 junior player in 1984. She became the youngest-ever player to reach the semifinals at the French Open where he lost to Chris Evert. She reached her first Grand Slam singles finals at the US Open in 1988 where she faced Steffi Graf. She defeated her in the 1990 US Open at 6-2, 7-6.
Sabatini was a teen tennis phenomenon in the mid-1980s. However, while popular in the circuit, he never lived up to her potential as a player. She won the women’s singles title at the US Open in 1990, the women’s doubles title at Wimbledon in 1988, two Year-End Championships in 1988 and 1994, and a silver medal at the 1988 Olympic.
Gabriela also won most of the highest level regular events on the women’s tour including Miami and Rome (she won four times). She scored a total of 10 wins over every reigning number one player she faced during her career.
