Scott Hamilton is an American figure skater who has an estimated net worth of $30 million.

Hamilton began his career in the world of figure skating at the age of 13, trained by former Olympic champion Pierre Brunet.

He joined the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 1980, coming in third place for the U.S. Olympic team. That same year, he placed fifth during the Winter Olympics.

A year later, he received a gold medal at the World Figure Skating Championships. He grabbed the gold medal in 1982 and 1983 at the U.S. and World Championships, and won the gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics.

He turned from amateur to professional figure skater in 1984. He toured with the Ice Capades, and formed Scott Hamilton's American Tour in 1986.

In 1988, he was recognized in the Jacques Favart Award and inducted into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame two years later.

Aside from being a figure skater, he became a CBS skating commentator in 1985.

He hosted the FOX Television program, Skating with Celebrities, in 2006. And also serves as Board of Directors for Special Olympics International.

Hamilton also appeared on several television shows, such as Wanna Bet?, Celebrity Apprentice, and Roseanne.

In 2010, Bio Channel premiered a television special about the life of Hamilton, Scott Hamilton: Return to the Ice.

Scott Scovell Hamilton was born on August 25, 1958 in Toledo, Ohio, USA. He attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Hamilton married a nutritionist, Tracie Robinson, and has two sons.
