Retired English footballer, Sulzeer Jeremiah "Sol" Campbell has a net worth of $55 million. An accomplished England defender who won 73 caps between 1996 and 2007, Campbell showed astute judgment off the pitch during his football career. He was one of the first to benefit from a Bosman free transfer when he made the rare and controversial move to Arsenal from Spurs, his boyhood club, in 2001 as a free agent and took a substantial proportion of what Arsenal could have expected to pay as a transfer fee as part of his £5m-a-year salary.

His career also took in Portsmouth and Newcastle United. A long-term Nike boot deal will have helped Campbell, 37, retire with a fortune in the region of £34m. Some of that was spent on his bespoke townhouse in Cheyne Walk, Chelsea, which is available to rent during the Olympic Games — at £75,000 a week for the 17 days. Sol is married to Fiona Barratt, granddaughter of the housebuilder Sir Lawrie Barratt, whom he married in July 2009. Campbell announced his retirement from football on 2 May 2012. His company, Sol Man Ltd, showed unchanged net assets in 2011 of £620,00.
