Sir Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish MBE  is a Scottish former football player and manager. He is estimated to be worth $11 million dollars (8 million British pounds). Dalglish was a footballer who played for Liverpool and Celtic during his career. He is also a member of the Scottish Football Hall of Fame and the English Football Hall of Fame.

Dalglish, the son of an engineer, was born in Dalmarnock and raised in Milton, in the city's northwestern outskirts. When he was 14, his family moved to Ibrox, to a tower block overlooking Rangers' home ground, the club he had grown up supporting. Dalglish joined Celtic in 1971 and went on to win four Scottish league titles, four Scottish Cups, and one Scottish League Cup during his time there. To bring Dalglish to Liverpool, the team manager, Bob Paisley, paid a British transfer record of £440,000 in 1977. He won six English league championships, the FA Cup, four League Cups, five FA Charity Shields, three European Cups, and one European Super Cup during his time at Liverpool, which was one of the club's most successful periods. He also won several awards, including the FWA Footballer of the Year in 1983 and 1979, the 1983 Ballon d'Or Silver Award, and the 1983 PFA Player of the Year.

He became Liverpool's player-manager after the Heysel Stadium disaster in 1985 after Joe Fagan's resignation as manager. He led the club to its first "double" in 1985–86, his first season in charge. From 1985 to 1991, he was the manager of Liverpool, and then from 1991 to 1995, he was the manager of Blackburn Rovers. He became the coach of Liverpool from 2011 to 2012 after a brief managerial tenure with Newcastle United and Celtic.

He is married to Marina Dalglish and they have four children: Kelly, Paul, Lauren, and Lynsey Dalglish. Dalglish and his wife founded the Marina Dalglish Appeal in 2004 to raise money for cancer research. Dalglish has taken part in several fundraising events for the charity, including a rematch of the 1986 FA Cup Final. After raising £1.5 million, the charity opened a Centre for Oncology at Aintree University Hospital in June 2007. The Walton Centre received a £2 million donation from the foundation in 2012, allowing for the purchase of a new state-of-the-art MRI scanner. Dalglish is a regular participant in the Gary Player Invitational Tournament, a charity golf tournament that raises money for children's charities all over the world. On July 1, 2011, Dalglish was honored by the University of Ulster with an honorary degree for his contributions to football and charity.

He was knighted in 2018 for his contributions to football, charity, and the city of Liverpool. While in hospital for treatment for an unrelated condition in early April 2020, Dalglish was discovered to be positive for COVID-19, despite the fact that he was asymptomatic.
