José Antonio Reyes started off his career as a member of the Sevilla FC at the age of 10. He represented the club at all youth levels. In 1999, he joined the main squad and inked a contract which enabled him to stay with the team until 2004.
He was added to the roster of players at Arsenal and played for the team from 2004 to 2007. Reyes was loaned for one season to the Real Madrid and won the La Liga title. After leaving the team, he landed a spot for Atletico Madrid.
While with the team, Reyes was loaned to S.L. Benfica from 2008 to 2009. When he return to Atletico, he led the team in achieving the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup title. On January 5, 2012, he went back to his former team, Sevilla.
