Brendan Rodgers is a retired Irish footballer who currently serves as the manager of Liverpool, a Premier League club.

Rodgers was born on January 26, 1973 in Carnlough, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. He began his professional football career with Ballymena United, where he played as defender from 1984 through 1987. At age 18, he signed to Reading F.C. At age 20, he was forced to retire due to injury. Since then, he has been working as a football coach turned manager.

After serving as the youth team manager  of Chelsea in 2004, he became the team's reserve manager two years later. In 2008, he became Watford's manager, and a year later, he began working as the manager of his former team, Reading F.C. In 2010, he became a full-time manager of Swansea City. Since June 2012, Brendan Rodgers has been serving as Liverpool's manager.

Brendan Rodgers in an alumnus of St. Patrick's College. He is currently married to Susan Rodgers, with whom he has two children, Anton and Mischa.
