Arjen Robben started to play football when he was a kid. Then, he joined in the youth system of Bedum. With his extensive skills like ball control and technical footwork, he drew attention by FC Groningen.

From Groningen's youth team to the club's first team, he started to play professional with them in 2000. Robben stayed with the team until 2002. He moved to the PSV during the 2002-2003 season.
