Italian World Cup- winning football player Andrea Pirlo plays for the New York City FC and for the Italian national team. He has an estimated net worth of $50 million. Born on May 19, 1979, in Flero, Lombardy, Italy, he made his debut for Brescia against Reggina at the age of 16. After making into the Brescia first team, he was spotted by the Internazionale coach Mircea Lucescu and signed him to the club. However, he wasn’t able to break into the first squad. Pirlo has also played for the Italian youth teams – U15, U18, and U21. He captained the U21 team and lead to victory in the 2000 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championships where he earned the Golden Player and Top Scorer titles in the tournament. He was part of the national team in the qualifying round for the 2002 World Cup and captained the team for a bronze medal in the 2004 Olympics.

Andrea Pirlo was the key to their 2006 World Cup victory after his finishing assist. He was the man of the match for three times, including the final game, that is more than any other player in the tournament. He won the Bronze Ball, the third best player in the tournament, and was elected to be part of the Team of the Tournament. He was also elected to be part of the Euro 2012 Team of the Tournament after leading the national team to the finals and receiving the winning man of the match award three times, the most for any player along with Andres Iniesta.

Pirlo joined the AC Milan and has won two UEFA Champions League and two European Cups in 2003 and 2007, two Serie A titles in 2004 and 2011, a 2006 FIFA World Cup, an Italian Super Cup in 2004, and the Copa Italia in 2003. When he joined Juventus, he added another Serie A title and Italian Super Cup in 2012. In 2006, 2007 and 2012, he earned the third, second and fourth in the IFFHS World Playmaker of the Year awards.

Andrea Pirlo came in the fourth place in the 2012 UEFA Best Player in Europe Award, seventh in the 2007 FIFA World Player, fifth in the 2007 Ballon d’Or and seventh in the 2012 FIFA Ballon d’Or award. He was also named as part of the 2006 FIFPro World XI and the 2012 UEFA Team of the Year. He was elected as Serie A Footballer of the Year and part of the Serie A Team of the Year in 2012.
