Marco Verratti is an Italian professional footballer who has an estimated net worth of $5 million. He currently plays for the French Ligue 1 team Paris Saint-German and the Italian national team as a central midfielder.
Born in Pescara, Italy on November 5, 1992, he began his football career with the local club Pescara and made his first team debut during the 2008-2009 season at the age of 16. Since then, he became a key player for the team which won the 2011-2012 Serie B title and was promoted to Serie A. He subsequently received the 2012 Bravo Award for the best player in Europe under the age of 21.
Veratti signed a five-year contract with the French side Paris Saint-Germain on July 18, 2012. He made his debut against Lille and ended the 2012-2013 season winning the Ligue 1 title. He made his UEFA Champions League debut on September 18 in a 4-1 defeat of Dynamo Kyiv.
Verratti’s second season was even more successful after defending the league title and winning the Coupe de Ligue. He was then named as the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year and was also included in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year for the 2013-2014 season.
Marco Verratti had his international debut with the Italian senior team on August 15, 2012 during a friendly match against England in Bern. He made his first competitive appearance at the 2014 FIIFA World Cup qualification on September 7, 2013 as a second-half substitute in a 2-2 draw against Bulgaria. He was then named in the 23-man squad of Italy for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and played in the opening match for the midfield trio along with Andrea Pirlo and Daniele de Rossi in the 2-1 defeat of England.
