Walter Jones is a former American professional football player with an estimated net worth of $45 million.
Walter Jones played two seasons for the Holmes Community College's football team. While with the team, he was hailed as the Mississippi Junior College Player of the Year in 1994. Eventually, he transferred to Florida State University Seminoles' football team for another two seasons and earned the second-team All-ACC honors. Instead of finishing his stint with the team, he decided to forego his final year of college eligibility and joined the NFL, instead.
He entered the 1997 NFL Draft and was selected as the first round, sixth overall pick by the Seattle Seahawks. Jones was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and seven-time All-Pro. He took the microblogging site Twitter to announced his retirement on April 29, 2010.
