Victor Cruz is a former American football wide receiver who has an estimated net worth of $16 million. He was born Victor Michael Cruz on November 11, 1986 in Paterson, New Jersey. He went to Paterson Catholic High School and Bridgton Academy in North Bridgton, Maine, where he completed a post-graduate semester. While at the academy, he made 47 catches for 883 yards and eight touchdowns in the single season. He then attended University of Massachusetts where he had a successful college football career while earning a college degree.
Cruz was not drafted during the 2010 National Football League (NFL) Draft but he was signed by the New York Giants the day after. Between the 2010 and 2016 season, he played as the wide receiver for the team and helped them win the Super Bowl XLVI over the New England Patriots, and made the 2012 Pro Bowl.
During the off-season, Victor Cruz has been actively involved in campaigns for Obama's re-election. He actually joined the group of Latinos in support for Barrack Obama's candidacy.
When the team released him on February 13, 2017, signed a one–year deal with the Chicago Bears. On September of the same year, he was released by the Bears. He finally announced his retirement on August 21, 2018 and joined ESPN as an analyst. He signed a one-day contract with the Giants to officially retire with the team.
