Tramon Williams played for Assumption High School's football, basketball and track team. In college he joined the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs as a walk on in his freshman year.

He was an undrafted free agent for Houston Texans in 2006, but released in the final preseason reduction. Six months later, Williams was signed by the Green Bay Packers. In 2011, he was added to the Pro Bowl Roster as a reserve and the team won during the Super Bowl XLV against Pittsburgh Steelers.

After staying for 8 years with the Packers, Williams signed a three-year contract with the Cleveland Browns.
