Matt Ryan is an American football quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) and he has an estimated net worth of $30 million. Popularly known as "Matty Ice", he was born Matthew Thomas Ryan on May 17, 1985 in Exton, Pennsylvania. He played football when he attended William Penn Charter School and captured several accolades as he made several records.
Ryan enrolled at Boston College where he played as starting quarterback between 2005 and 2007 as he lead the team to three bowl victories. In 2007, he led the team to an ACC Atlantic Division championship and was named ACC Player of the Year.
Matt Ryan's professional football career began when he was drafted by the Falcons with the third overall pick in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. On May 2o of the same year, he signed a 6-year, $72 million worth of contract with the Atlanta Falcons, where $34.75 million guaranteed. It made Ryan the fourth-highest paid quarterback in the NFL history despite the fact that he hasn't played a professional game yet.
During his rookie year with the Falcons, he started all 16 games for the Falcons and led them to the playoffs with an 11–5 season record, which earned him the 2008 NFL AP Offensive Rookie of the Year. In 2016, he was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player and led the Falcons to Super Bowl LI, but they were defeated by the New England Patriots. He signed a $150 million five-year extension with the Falcons on May 3, 2018, which made him the first $30 million per year quarterback and the highest paid player in NFL history until being surpassed by Aaron Rodgers months later.
