Matt Prater is an American professional football player with an estimated net worth of $9 million.

Matt Prater began his career while in high school where he became a part of the football team of Estero High School in Florida. He was named second-team All-State, first-team All-Conference, and All-Southwest Florida.

In college, he played for Central Florida University's football team. During his sophomore year for the said team, Prater the team led in punting, thereby setting school and MAC records with 47.9 yards per punt.

Prater signed up with the Detroit Lions in 2006, the Miami Dolphins and the Atlanta Falcons in 2007.

In 2008, he signed with the Denver Broncos and started became its starting kicker for the team. During the career in NFL, he received four AFC Special Teams Player of the Week awards in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and two AFC Special Teams Player of the Month honors. He is a 2013 Pro Bowl Selection and a 2013 AFC Champion.
