Junior Seau was a professional American football player and he has an estimated net worth of $12 million. Born Tiaina Baul Seau Jr. on January 19, 1969 in Oceanside, California, he went to Oceanside High School, where he lettered in football, basketball, and track and field. He attended the University of Southern California, but did not immediately play for the Trojans during his freshman because of his 690 SAT score on the college entrance exam, which was 10 points short of the minimum score for freshman eligibility at USC.
After playing three years of college football at USC, Seau was drafted as the 5th overall pick of the San Diego Chargers in the 1990 NFL Draft. He played for the San Diego Chargers for 13 seasons and led the team to Super Bowl XXIX. Eventually, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins where he spent the next three years of his life. He was signed by the New England Patriots and played with the team for four seasons.
Junior Seau was known for his passionate play. He as a 10-time All-Pro, 12-time Pro Bowl selection, and named to the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team. He was an inductee to the Chargers Hall of Fame upon his retirement in 2010 and team retired his number 55 as well. In 2012, Seau committed suicide through a gunshot on the chest. Three years later, he was elected posthumously to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
