Professional football player JaMarcus Russell has an estimated net worth of $25 million. Currently, he is a free agent.

JaMarcus Trenell Russell was born on August 9, 1985 in Mobile, Alabama. He attended Louisiana State University where he played football for the LSU Tigers as the team's starting quarterback.

Eventually, he was selected by the Oakland Raiders as a first round (first overall) pick of the 2007 NFL Draft. He was signed by the team to a six-year $68 million contract with a guaranteed compensation worth $31.5 million.

On his final season with the Raiders which was also his final season at the NFL so far, Russell listed the fewest passing yards, fewest passing touchdowns, lowest quarterback rating, and the lowest completion percentage.

During the 2010 off-season, he came overweight with a 290-pound weight. In April 2010, he weighed 300 pounds. On May of the same year, he was released by the team which eventually led him to become an unrestricted free agent. In November, he tried out for the Miami Dolphins and the Washington Redskins, but both team didn't sign him.

In 2013, he weighed 265 pounds and trained with other NFL players such as Jeff Garcia, Ato Boldon, and Marshall Faulk. There had been reports about Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears signing him. However, both teams didn't sign him also.
