Edward Earl Reed Jr. was previously an American football safety with a net worth of $12 million. He spent most of his career with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). When Reed was in college, he played football for the University of Miami. Here, he became a two-time consensus All-American. In the starting round of the 2002 NFL draft, Reed became drafted by the Ravens. He played for the Baltimore for eleven seasons and then to the Houston Texans and New York Jets. His career ended with a one-day contract with the Ravens last May 7, 2015.

While Reed was playing, he became selected to nine total Pro Bowls. He received the 2004 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award and had the NFL record because of the two most extended interception returns. Reed also holds the all-time NFL record for interception return yards which amounted to 1,590. People consider him as one of the most excellent safeties in the history of the NFL, and he became an all-time leader list during the time of his retirement. People considered Reed as one of NFL's most essential safeties and people referred to him as a "ball hawk" during his prime. Reed is known for studying film so that he can memorize the tendencies of the opposing team. He also could lure quarterbacks to throw interceptions.

In 2012, he became an inductee to the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame.
