Professional American football player Chris Johnson has an estimated net worth of $33 million. In 2012, he received an annual salary amounting to $8 million. He currently plays in the National Football League for the Arizona Cardinals. Known as one of NFL's fastest players, Johnson is considered as one of the league's elite running backs.

Hailed by Rivals.com as a two-star recruit, Johnson chose to attend East Carolina University over  UConn and Eastern Kentucky. While at the university, he played for the Pirates football team.

After spending four seasons with the Pirates, he was selected by the  Tennessee Titans as a first round (24th overall) pick of the 2008 NFL Draft. He was considered as the highest player from the East Carolina University to have been selected into the NFL since the 1992 NFL Draft 24th overall pick Robert Jones.

On July 26 of the same year, he was signed by the Titans to a five-year contract worth $12 million, with a guaranteed compensation of $7 million. In 2009, he was selected to play in the Pro Bowl.

On September 1, 2011, he was again signed by the Titans to a four-year extension contract worth $53.5 million, with guaranteed compensation of $30 million. This made him as the highest paid running back in the league.

Christopher Duan Johnson was born on September 23, 1985 in Orlando, Florida.
