Chad Henne began his career when he played for Wilson Senior High School. He became a member of 2004 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He entered the college football season in 2004 when he pursue to play with the Michigan Wolverines. He was recognized as All-American Freshman Team Quarterback in 2004.
During the NFL Draft in 2008, Henne was picked by Miami Dolphins on the second round of the said selection of players. He signed up for a four-year contract with the team. He was named as Capital One Bowl MVP and Senior Bowl North Offensive MVP in 2008. In 2012, the Miami Dolphins did not re-sign him and became a free agent. He moved to Jacksonville Jaguars and signed for two-year contract with the team.
